The Indian Social Science Academy (Originally, Indian Academy of Social Sciences) was established on August 15, 1974 by the then young scientists opposed to ‘Brain-drain’, committed to develop a new science and technology for self-reliant development. All subjects of Science (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Economics, Anthropology, History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology etc) are represented in it.
ISSA has created a Young Scientists Division in order to remain young in all respects. The Division organises All India Young Scientists Convention every year. So far it has organized 8 sessions of it.
